Skye Baker

I’m a South Asian illustrator from Croydon. I grew up here and my childhood was walking though this shopping centre, hopping in the squares as a child, sitting in the food court with friends. In the midst of change, memories lie around every corner, the spirit of Croydon seeping through cracks. Croydon was a Crocus valley with saffron springing from the ground. Amidst building and newness, nature flows around the corners. Like flowers that grow resiliently everywhere, we are still here.

Johnny Larran

I’m a self-taught digital artist from Croydon. I create hand-drawn portraits and pieces with positive affirmations to make you feel nostalgic, warm, and fuzzy. My art is playful, bold, and inspired by pop culture. Utilising a vibrant colour palette, I create impressionist street art that can be found on walls across the UK, Europe, Canada, and the United States.  This piece is based on a quote by poet, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou and  I hope that it will inspire the viewer to consider the effect they have on others’ lives.

Hoagy Houghton

Hoagy is a Croydon based visual artist working primarily in the field of printmaking. His work looks at pressing environmental and social issues, such as climate change, plastic pollution and mental health awareness, through a discerning lens of humour and transformation. Hoagy’s art is increasingly autobiographical and has become a cathartic process for him.
